Words To Live By

I like to look at bumper stickers and am facinated by how much can be summed up in so few words. What facinates me even more is to see the combination of bumper stickers that a person may post on his/her car. How much of our world view can be summed up by bumper stickers?

As a dog lover, one of my favorites is, “Be the person your dog thinks you are.”

I recently heard Representative John Lewis speak and he gave two quotes that I liked: “We may have come over on different ships, but we’re all in the same boat now,” and “Be a headlight, not a taillight.”

If I were a woman, one that would definitely be appropriate would be, “The only bush I trust is my own.”
